The Challenge
Three years ago, Etex was in the position of having to “harness the power of digital to significantly extend Etex’s business and global impact.” The potential was there, but the mechanisms to achieve optimal global influence were not.
To create a more expansive global presence, Etex Group needed a way to optimize all of its content (something they had no way of doing before implementing a new marketing technology ecosystem).
The Solution
Etex Group implemented the Digizuite DAM in 2020 amid a major digital transformation initiative.
Once Etex was comfortably up and running with Optimizely (previously Episerver) Content Cloud, they needed a complementary platform to help manage their entire content lifecycle – from creation to distribution to different channels.
Etex needed a Digital Asset Management (DAM) solution. And soon into their search, Etex discovered that the Digizuite DAM would provide all the functionalities they needed, at the same time as integrating harmoniously with Optimizely.
The Results
With the intertwined power of their CMS and DAM, the Etex team now brings content to life in all the right ways so that it reaches and resonates with people at every point of their individual customer journeys.
“We are in a world where people expect one-to-one information,” Guilmain said. “I expect a brand to talk to me, not to me as a group of individuals, [and] the demands of our customers have increased. [Previously,] our relationship had been with the retailer. Maybe there’d be a small relationship with the installer, but there was no relationship with the end user. Now, we have these connections with the end users that we never had before… It allows us to start communicating the right messages to the right people at the right time – an opportunity we’ve never had before.”
The combination of Optimizely and Digizuite has also allowed Etex Group to establish better website efficiency. With the Optimizely CMS, Etex was able to move multiple websites from their previous CMS to Optimizely for streamlined website content management.
Then, the Digizuite DAM has provided a centralized media library and tool for master data management to execute and distribute content more efficiently to the Etex website.
As a result of their Digizuite-powered marketing ecosystem, the Etex marketing team executes better quality and higher volumes of content that reaches their global market faster and more efficiently.
Finally, with Etex’s massive, globally-scattered workforce, using the Digizuite DAM as a media library enables thousands of employees to collaborate through one platform. As a result, it’s simple to effectively manage and capitalize on all product information – from reference cases to technical documents.
