The annual, prize-rich T-Splines Design Contest has come to end and T-Splines has announced the winners. Coming out in first place in two of the five categories were people who used KeyShot to complete their design with incredible renderings. Both the Architecture and the Consumer Product category represents the range of skills in this contest and it was a great pleasure to not only help sponsor the competition, but also see the range of interests KeyShot is being used across. Check out the two winning entries that took away some great prizes for their incredible design.
Winner: Consumer Products
The winner of the consumer products category is Felix Lorsignol from Montreal, Canada.
The design of the BlackBerry Peer is the outcome of an extensive research project done with Research in Motion out of Ottawa and Waterloo. The most important aspects were interaction design and technical considerations.
Winner: Architecture
The winner of the architecture category is Cesare Monti from Torino, Italy.
A house as a bone, a form without time that seems originates from prehistoric skeleton. The core structures will be build in eco-concrete, a new technologies that will reduce GHG emissions associated with the production of Portland cement for use in concrete construction in a manner that is ecologically and economically smart.
The winner of the copy of KeyShot goes to Joseph Culbert, First place in the transit design category. He used Octane for the rendering, but we know he’ll now get a lot of great use (and great results) out of KeyShot! Congrats Joseph!
