During the first week of June, KeyShot user and 3D Artist Marco Di Lucca will be at the b’Ars Arts & Vfx Fair in Barcelona in a special masterclass titled “The Making of Me” where he will break down the process on modeling a bust of himself and rendering it in KeyShot. Marco is currently a Senior Artist at Industrial Lights & Magic, with previous work at Digital Domain and Weta Digital. You can see more of his work and read our interview with him here.
“KeyShot gives you impressive images in very few clicks. The time saved through the development stage of the idea, makes it ideal in an industry that requires fast turnarounds…” – Marco Di Lucca
If you visit the KeyShot forums, you’ve seen the incredible work, both the sculpts and the renders, that Marco creates. We have yet to have him do a webinar, but if you’re in Barcelona early June, you can see him, plus have the opportunity to ask him questions.
The event will take place from June 5th-8th, kicking off Thursday, June 5th with a job fair for 3D professionals. On Friday, June 6th, Marco will give his presentation at 11:00 am in the Sala Auditori at Arts Santa Mònica (map) right at the beginning of the famous Barcelona Rambla.
During the one and half hour presentation, Marco will provide an overview of the process he used to sculpt his likeness using mudbox, exporting and importing into KeyShot for texturing and lighting. There’s lots more going on at the four day event, with other colleagues of Marco showing the workflow they use. Make plans for this event and be sure to tell Marco hello if you go!
