The KeyShot crew fills you in with the latest KeyShot tips and tricks, insight into 3D rendering technology and the people creating the coolest visuals across the engineering, product design and entertainment industries.

Last month our customer spotlight series featured MINIMAL, the Chicago-based design firm headed up by Scott Wilson, showing how their latest product was brought to life using KeyShot. They’ve just launched the Kickstarter project for it and are just about to cross their funding goal of $100,000.

The EPIK Watch is the first rugged housing for the Apple Watch. MINIMAL states it plain and simple saying, “LUNATIK Epik transforms your Apple Watch into a bold, iconic and just plain badass wearable companion, ready for anything. With Epik you can enjoy your adventures without worry, knowing your investment is safely protected.”

We won’t argue with that. The MINIMAL design, brand and engineering team did a bang on job of creating a sleek design that makes the watch even more practical for every day use. Creative Director, Jerry O’Leary tells us that “KeyShot was used in factory, in transit to airport to check a contract manufacturer’s surfaces and was also used throughout the creation of EPIK’s public facing materials.” and bringing it together with the visual created in KeyShot.”

Check out the video below and be sure to hop over and support the Kickstarter project.
