What’s happening in Vancouver, BC right now besides incredibly nice weather? SIGGRAPH 2011, that’s what. And I’ll give you one guess who’s going to be there. Yes, the KeyShot crew. We’ll be at booth #780 in the Exhibit hall throwin’ out the 3D love with beautiful KeyShot renderings (and possibly a few hugs from Thomas Teger.) We’ll also be teaming up with Intel to show you the power of the CPU and having a workshop later in the week. Here’s where you can find us and exactly what we’ll have on display.

KeyShot 3 preview

Luxion introduces a revolutionary animation system for KeyShot geared towards Designers, Engineers and Marketing Professionals:

  • Unique animation system based on offset transforms rather than keyframes.
  • Object and camera animation setup, edit and playback inside KeyShot’s realtime raytraced environment
  • Full interaction with camera, lighting and materials.

Realtime sub-surface scattering
KeyShot is the only application that features sub-surface scattering in realtime, based on the next generation algorithms developed by Academy Award winner by Dr. Henrik Wann Jensen, Chief Scientist at Luxion.

CPU powered realtime raytracing
Take a look at KeyShot running on the latest edition of Intel’s Westmere chipsets, and witness how all 24 threads are being pegged to the max!

We certainly hope you can make it out to see us, especially if you’re in the Vancouver area. If anything particularly interesting pops up, say, some cool, renderings or photos of the KeyShot team doing their thing, we’ll be sure to post them.
