Updating materials each time I start Keyshot, is this correct?

I got this 2 at the moment and I suspect it's got something to do with write permission to one of the KS folders ...

Do you mean ' material refresh' when you open the 'material library'? If so, I think that's normal.

It's re-scaning/loading the folder with materials or environements ..
